Cookie Policy

Last updated: March 2026

Introduction

This Cookie Policy explains how the Feedii website (feedii.com) uses cookies and similar local storage technologies. Feedii is a privacy-first iOS application and we maintain a minimal footprint when it comes to web tracking. We do not use tracking cookies, serve targeted ads, or sell your browsing data to third parties.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites function correctly, remember user preferences, and provide analytics. In addition to traditional cookies, we also use localStorage — a similar browser storage mechanism that saves preferences locally on your device without server communication.

2. Cookies We Use

The Feedii website uses only strictly necessary storage:

Essential

Language Preference (feedii_lang)

Type: localStorage

Purpose: Stores your selected language (English or Chinese) to keep the interface consistent.

Duration: Persistent (until you clear browser data or change preference)

Data shared: None — stored on your device only

Browser Built-in

Session Cookies

Type: Session cookie

Purpose: Maintaining basic browsing session state (handled automatically by your browser).

Duration: Deleted when browser closes

Data shared: None

3. Analytics

We collect minimal anonymous visit data to understand website usage, such as page views and approximate geographic region. This data is aggregated and cannot be used to identify you personally. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or other third-party tracking scripts. If we introduce any analytics tooling in the future, we will update this policy and notify you in advance.

4. Third-Party Cookies

The Feedii website currently does not use any third-party cookies or tracking scripts. We do not embed social media plugins, ad networks, or third-party analytics services that might place cookies while you visit our site.

5. Data Storage in the iOS App

Cookie policies primarily apply to websites. The Feedii iOS application uses different storage mechanisms: app data is stored securely on your device (iOS sandbox) and in our encrypted Supabase cloud database. The app does not use cookies; user preferences are persisted via iOS local storage (UserDefaults), and health data is stored in Supabase's secure database. See our Privacy Policy for details.

6. How to Control Cookies

You can control and delete cookies and localStorage data through your browser settings:

  • Chrome:Settings → Privacy and Security → Cookies and other site data
  • Safari:Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Firefox:Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Edge:Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Cookies and site data

Please note that clearing localStorage will reset your language preference. Since we do not use tracking cookies, this will not affect your health data or account information.

7. Updates to This Policy

If our cookie usage changes significantly — for example, if we add third-party analytics — we will update this page and post a notice on the website. We recommend reviewing this policy periodically. This policy was last updated in March 2026.
